Benjamin Ho Loong
Ben has worked in finance for more than 30 years. He started his first job as a research analyst in DBS Bank in 1987. Since then, he has spent more than half his career as analyst and portfolio manager at institutions such as JP Morgan Securities, Schroders Investment Management and AIB Govett. The latter part of his career has been that of a private investor. Discovering the ethos of value investing has been a turning point in his career and his investments. He has lived in Hong Kong and the US for about 11 years. He returned to Singapore in 2011 and was a founding partner of Integral Capital and co-managed its Value Fund. Ben started Pathfinder with Woon Tiang in late 2014. He graduated with a B.Sc (Business Administration) from the University of California, Berkeley and has been a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder since in 1995.
Tan Woon Tiang
Woon Tiang graduated from the National University of Singapore and started legal practice in 1986. He had been a partner in several major Singapore law firms before he joined the international offshore firm Conyers Dill & Pearman in 2001 and became head of the firm’s Singapore office in 2002. In his legal practice, he has advised listed companies, shareholders, banks & financial institutions, fund managers and trustees on wide spectrum of corporate transactions and trust structures. Transactions he had been involved in would include the mergers of banks and financial institutions, take-overs of listed companies, international and local public offering of securities as well as various other capital market work. Besides being admitted to practise law in Singapore, England & Wales, Hong Kong and the BVI, Woon Tiang has been a CFA charterholder since 2003. Woon Tiang decided to further develop his interest in the field of investment by joining Ben in starting Pathfinder. His legal background and experience in many corporate transactions can lead to insights which may contribute to the investment process.
